Work Experience

Tony Volpe has over 20 years experience in providing insurance loss accounting services to insurance companies and their representatives.

He joined Matson, Driscoll & Damico in 1986 where his professional concentration was in determining, verifying and analyzing factual matters by the examination of accounting, operating and financial records; and in the interpretation and communication of these financial facts along with calculations and recommendations, all in connection with claims under insurance coverages and other value work.

In 1995 he moved to Vancouver to open and manage the MD&D West Coast office.

Tony has been involved in over 1,000 files relating to loss quantification in the areas of business interruption, property damage, stock and contents, wrongful death, personal injury, employee dishonesty, product liability among others. In addition, he has provided appraisal services on insurance claim disputes relating to business interruption, stock and contents losses.

In addition, he has worked on several rail transportation claims involving physical damage, business interruption and extra expense losses.

Tony has been involved with losses in Canada, the United States and overseas and has provided seminars on business interruption to insurance companies and other insurance professionals.
