Work Experience

Kevin began his accounting career with the predecessor firm, Johnson Atwater & Company, in 1978, and has over 25 years of forensic and investigative accounting experience. During that time, he has worked in a wide range of industries, both in the U.S. and abroad, and has worked on cases involving various types of insurance claims and litigation matters.

Kevin’s work experience has primarily been involved with evaluation and measurement of economic damages sustained due to property damage/casualty losses, as well as other disruptions to business. His work includes not only analyses of financial data, but also includes analyses of operational data as needed to provide a solid foundation for his conclusions.

During his career, Kevin has testified as an expert witness numerous times in depositions, and federal and state courts, in matters involving lost profits, financial motive, and economic damages. His analyses and the results of his investigations have assisted in the settlement of many cases without the need for a trial or other legal proceeding.
