August/September 2004Singapore Office Off to a Positive StartIt’s been less than a year since Matson, Driscoll & Damico opened its Singapore office and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The office is already managing assignments ranging from business interruption and stock loss claims to employee theft. Lead by Phillip Taylor (Director) and assisted by Paul Isaac (Senior Analyst) and Eliza Puay (Office Administrator), the office services a broad geographic area from Japan to India and China to Australia/New Zealand. As parts of the region enter typhoon season, both Taylor and Isaac are ready to assist with the natural disaster catastrophic claims, along with the support of the firm’s 27 other offices. Operating in Asia Pacific also brings new challenges and issues for consideration in some of the claims. For example, foreign exchange movements play a big part in the operation of a lot companies that are trading within the region. Some of these considerations are set out in an article on the web site: www.mdd.net/forex.htm If you need assistance with an
assignment in this region and/or would
